Terms and Conditions
Effective October 14, 2026
Please read before you buy.
These terms cover this website and direct quotes and sales from BSI Firearms, and they match the Additional Terms of Sale on our GunBroker listings. GunBroker purchases are also covered by GunBroker's own terms. By purchasing, you confirm and accept these terms in their entirety.
1. Who can buy
We sell firearms, ammunition and custom firearms only in accordance with federal, state and local law. You must be 18 or older for long guns and 21 or older for handguns.
It's your responsibility to know your state, county and city laws and to make sure what you order is legal where you live. We can't know every local law or your dealer's business hours, so please check before you buy.
State laws on firearms and parts keep changing, so we can't ship certain parts to certain states. If your order includes one, we'll cancel it.
2. How to buy a firearm online
- Check that it's legal. Make sure the item meets your state, county and city firearm laws.
- Place your order and watch for our email. If you don't hear from us within 3 business days, email info@bsifirearms.com.
- Pick an FFL dealer. A local gun shop, pawn shop or range that will accept the transfer.
- Call your FFL. Tell them a firearm is coming from BSI Firearms, and make sure they're open and able to accept the delivery. Coordinating with your dealer is your responsibility.
- Inspect before you sign. When it arrives, inspect the firearm thoroughly before filling out any paperwork. Once the transfer is complete, the firearm is accepted, and any issue after that goes through the manufacturer's warranty. We can't take returns on transferred firearms.
3. NFA items (suppressors, SBRs, SBSs)
NFA items ship to your dealer only after ATF approves the Form 3, so your dealer must be an SOT dealer. Plan on 3 to 9 business days; Form 3 processing can make it longer.
How your dealer transfers the item to you is up to them. Under ATF's October 9, 2026 guidance, ATF is no longer enforcing the Form 4 approval and tax stamp requirements for suppressors, SBRs, SBSs and certain AOWs, though dealers may still file one. Ask your dealer how they'll handle it before you buy, and see our NFA Update page.
If an NFA item comes back because you fail your dealer's background check, a 25% fee applies to cover the compliance paperwork.
4. Shipping
- Firearms, parts and ammunition ship within 3 to 7 business days. NFA orders take 3 to 9 business days and can run longer while the Form 3 is processed.
- Business days don't include weekends or holidays when carriers aren't running. We're closed on weekends and don't process orders then.
- We ship within the continental US only. We don't ship to Hawaii, Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands or anywhere outside the continental US.
- Alaska: firearms can ship to an Alaska FFL for an added shipping fee based on location. Ask us for a quote before you buy. Ammunition doesn't ship to Alaska.
- Ammunition and firearms must be bought in separate orders.
- Orders that need ID or an FFL under state law take 1 to 3 extra business days to process.
5. State restrictions
Firearms
| State | Restriction |
|---|---|
| Alaska | Added fee to ship to your FFL, based on location. Ask before you buy. |
| California | Civilian handgun sales limited to the California Handgun Roster. Law enforcement officers are exempt (tell us after purchase). |
| Illinois | Restrictions based on state law. |
| Massachusetts | Handgun sales limited to the Massachusetts Handgun Roster. Law enforcement officers are exempt (tell us after purchase). |
| New Jersey, New York | Shipping restrictions based on state law. |
| Hawaii | No shipping. |
Ammunition
| State | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Illinois | Driver's license and FOID card required. |
| Massachusetts | Driver's license and permit required. |
| New Jersey | Driver's license and permit required. |
| California | Must ship to an FFL. |
| New York, Alaska, Hawaii | No shipping. |
California accessories: because of California Bill 1263, in effect since January 1, 2026, we can't ship accessories to California residents.
6. Quotes, orders and payment
Direct quotes are based on current pricing and availability, which can change until your order is confirmed and paid. Direct orders are paid through an emailed invoice before we order or ship.
Fraud prevention: for firearm orders, the name and address on the card must match the name on the order. For non-FFL orders over $400, the billing and shipping addresses must match.
Card declined? Make sure the billing address matches exactly what your bank has on file; even small differences can cause a decline. Paying with a PO Box address? Try "PO BOX 123", "P.O. BOX 123" or the box number first.
7. Returns, cancellations and fees
All sales are final on: firearms once transferred, ammunition, clearance and blemished items, and special orders and custom items.
Opened products: no returns or refunds on opened products, since we can't verify whether they were used or damaged. If an opened item is sent back anyway, we'll inspect it, and any refund is at our discretion.
Product photos: we use stock photos, and the item you receive may look slightly different. That isn't grounds for a return or refund.
Returning an unopened item
- Email info@bsifirearms.com within 15 business days of receiving it. Returns are handled by email only.
- If the return is approved, we'll send you a return label. Return shipping comes out of your refund unless we shipped you the wrong item.
- Pack it securely in a proper shipping box. Don't put a shipping label on the manufacturer's box; items shipped back with poor packing may carry extra fees.
- Items shipped back more than 30 days after the order date, damaged, or without the original packaging may carry a restocking fee of at least 15%.
